The Colnbrook Way

The key terms of ‘Ready, Safe, Kind’ underpin everything we do at Colnbrook and are three attributes we teach in every situation, whether in the classroom, on the playground or travelling on the bus. For example:

Ready for the start of the activity; the next step in learning; to listen; to learn new things

Safe  playing with friends; using equipment; travelling in the community

Kind   words; actions – helping others, sharing toys with a friend

We believe that for our children, following our work with Pivotal Education, these words are easy to remember and positively describe our expectations. This learning is reinforced in a variety of ways throughout the school day and in the environment (such as classroom and hall displays) and celebrated in our weekly assemblies, featuring the Colnbrook tree and our Colnbrook Way song:
